Fun lessons. In years of helping people to make music, our have found that motivation is the most important element of success. This means we teach the music you want to learn, in a businesslike but enjoyable atmosphere.

Adults learn well with focused lessons with clear goals supported by short and precise assignments for practice. A habit of regular practice is encouraged in clear and achievable steps.

Many adult piano students view taking lessons as a great stress relief from work, coming home from a difficult day at work and doing something more meaningful than watching television. Adults are looking for lessons that are fun, meaningful, and contribute to personal growth.

Playing music of the great classical composers such as Bach and Beethoven, or more modern ones like Gershwin and Rodgers and Hart, is an exciting part of a musical education. There is much more information available now about the lives of composers than previously realized. Understanding musical terms and styles also brings to life the many facets of music.

Whether you are picking up an instrument for the first time or are an advanced player looking to break out of a rut and expand your capabilities, you need a teacher who is dedicated to helping you achieve your goals. Many adults would love to take music lessons but don't really know where to start. The first thing you as an adult should ask yourself is "what do I want to learn?" Do you want to play in the classical style or maybe jazz? How about some good old rock 'n' roll? Look for a program that will not just encourage you to learn your favorite songs, but help you understand how music is put together. Believe it or not, understanding the basics goes a long way toward making music success easier. Whether it is for relaxation, personal enjoyment, or for a specific purpose, learning an instrument is a rewarding experience for students of all ages. Don't give up too quickly either. Give yourself six to nine months to see if this instrument is for you or not. The benefits of music study will outweigh the obstacles every time!

Remember - It's never to late to learn to play music!

Great Programs to Choose From!

Private Music Lessons: All Instruments

• University Trained Teachers

Our instructors are highly qualified and many have extensive performance experience. Most importantly, our instructors have experience teaching adults and strive to relate their teaching to each individual student's learning style.

• Team Lessons

Parent and child taking lessons on the same instument can both study with the same teacher at the same time. 45-minute lessons are suggested for this option. Since students progress at different rates, the teacher will recomend when individual lessons are right for you.

• Professional Environment

There are many teachers that teach out of their homes. In between phone calls and domestic duties, they find time to give their students a lesson. This is not exactly the best place to learn a skill like playing a musical instrument. That's why taking lessons from a school that's well equipped, can offer a variety of programs, has convenient scheduling for multiple family members on different instruments, and has front desk staff to answer calls and any questions you may have about your lessons has an obvious advantage for the music student.

• Regularly Scheduled Weekly Lesson

People learn skills like golf or tennis or even playing a musical instrument through regular and consistent review from a professional. Even Tony Romo has a professional coach! The way you do something, or "form", is a big part of learning any coordinated physical activity. By having your own private lesson with an experienced instructor, your form is consistently being checked. This prevents the development of bad habits that can cause all sorts of problems and sometimes take a long time to correct.
