Music Conservatory of Texas - Fall 2009 Black & White Concert.
As you will see, there are a mix of ages and skill levels represented, and different instruments being played Some of the performers are beginners who have just started taking lessons and are playing for an audience for the first
time, while other students have been playing and performing for several years.
The students have been taking
lessons on a variety of instruments to include; piano, guitar, voice, violin and drums. The performers play
rock, jazz, classical and everything in between.
The concerts were broadcast live on the Internet for the first time in school
history.
There were over 250 audience members in attendence and an additional worldwide audience of 128 viewers watching online.
The online broadcast was a great
addition to the wonderful showcase the school provides for our children. My husband was
traveling to a wedding and was able to watch during the recital! - Jill Balentine
Several family members weren't able to
attend the concert but got to see it on the internet. Thank you! - Rebecca Thompson
The online broadcast was not only
a great idea but a very thoughtful one especially for people like us who have family in other
parts of the world. My mum and Dad and siblings as well as other relatives got to see Anisha
playing and no one missed out on it because of distance. Thank You for being up with the
times!! - Maryanne Lobo
Jonathan's grandparents in Chicago and Moscow were very happy to see him play at the concert! They also loved being able to see other kids and the teachers perform. - Elena Vasilyeva
The world needs music! Are you playing your part?
